Startup technology firm Trelp has introduced a mobile application designed to help truck drivers find exact pickup and drop-off locations and nearby parking when they arrive at a facility.

The Trelp app, launched in December, provides users with these precise “upon-arrival” directions based on information and reviews crowdsourced from other drivers, said Andrey Chabanov, Trelp’s co-founder and chief financial officer.

Drivers can use the app to find the correct gate or entrance to a warehouse or other facility, as well as places to park or rest, saving them from wasting time and fuel searching for their destination, he said.

“It’s going to speed things up,” Chabanov said. “It’s going to eliminate mistakes and hopefully, in the long run, it’s going to decrease driving time, wasted fuel and pollution.”

The app also can provide updated GPS coordinates for shipment locations.

Trelp is available for download on Apple and Android devices.
